We complete the team.
We do not replace it.
For the lawyers, private bankers, trustees and accountants who already serve a family: we work alongside you to help solve the challenges your clients are facing, without ever stepping into your mandate.
Alongside you.
We take the project the family cannot run itself: a sale process, a succession, an office to set up or adapt, a seat to hold.
We work inside the structure, at the family's pace, and complement your expertise where it is needed.
We participate in the circle of trusted advisers to the family. We keep you informed as the work progresses and raise with you anything that touches your mandate.
Your mandate stays yours.
We do not give legal, tax or investment advice, manage assets, or sell products.
We do not pay or receive referral fees.
We do not compete for the work you already do. When a family asks us who should do it, we say so, and often it is you.
Reach out to us.
You describe the situation to a partner, without naming the family if you prefer. We say whether we can help, and who on our side would.
If it makes sense, you introduce us to the family, or the family calls us. Either way you stay in the room.
Nothing we learn goes further than the family and you.
Four things a client might say to you first.
-
01 “We are going to sell the company, but our team is not skilled to run it.”
We run the family's side of the process with you and the appointed bankers, and keep the office on its day job. Your engagement is unchanged; the family has one point of contact.
-
02 “I would like to hand over to my children. The office is not ready for them.”
We work with the family on the handover, preventively where possible, and with the heirs afterwards where not. The structures you built stay; the people learn to use them.
-
03 “We should probably set up a family office. Where do we start?”
We help the family say what it wants from an office before anyone draws a structure. The structure is then yours to draw; we make it run.
-
04 “Our chief executive is leaving next month.”
A partner holds the seat on an interim basis, keeps counterparties and advisers informed, and helps the family define the role before it recruits for it.
Inside a family office.
A programme for the teams who cover ultra-high-net-worth families, led by a partner who ran a single family office from the inside. It shows the family's side of the table, how an office is organised, what it costs, who decides and what the family expects from its bank, so that the team can test its own offering and approach against it.

We always welcome a call from other professionals who serve families. Tell us what you do and where your clients are finding things difficult, and we will tell you where we can help, and where we cannot.
