Our Story
Gilles Erulin funded Westwick Melrose & Cromwell in 2013 after working with the Pinault family office, Financière Pinault Artemis, from its inception for more than 26 years, addressing some of the family’s most complex challenges: acquiring sophisticated assets, turning around subsidiaries, sorting challenging or critical issues, and ultimately going with the family through a generational transition. Throughout this period, he helped ensure that the family’s vision, values, and uncompromising standard of execution endured.
Through decades of experience, and close work with other families, Gilles saw a consistent gap: families need discreet, trusted, and action-oriented advisors who can step in and actually get things done when issues fall outside the day-to-day or the SFO capacity.
